Attorney Chuong N. Ho grew up in Southern California in the Ventura County community of Moorpark. He attended Moorpark High School (a California Distinguished School), where he served as an editor on his high school's newspaper and yearbook. He went onto college an hour and a half north of Moorpark at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and was a member of the school's Accounting Association. (UCSB is currently ranked 39th among all National Universities by U.S. News & World Report). Chuong subsequently went to law school an hour and a half south of Moorpark at Chapman University School of Law where he served as President of the school's Tax Law Society. (In the 2011 Edition of the U.S. News & World Report, Chapman University was ranked within America's top 100 law schools). He was also a member of the Law Review and served on its' Executive Board. (Membership to the Law Review is extended only to students ranked in the top 10% of his/her class). Upon graduation from law school, Chuong was awarded the Dean's Award for Exemplary Leadership and Service (this award is given annually to the graduating student whose leadership and service to the Law School represents a significant contribution to the development of the University).

*Chuong Ho's article on "Saving Open-Space and Agricultural Resources (SOAR)" won 2nd Place in the California statewide Prinzmetal Writing Competition. The Prinzmetal is a writing competition in which Dean's from California's ABA (American Bar Association) law schools submit their best student papers.
After law school, Chuong worked for law firms in Irvine, California (Orange County) and Westlake Village, California (Ventura County). He represented clients ranging from the individual plaintiff/defendant to the smaller "mama-papa stores" to the large businesses, nationwide banks, leasing companies and insurance companies, in the areas of personal injury, insurance defense, commercial litigation and general civil litigation. In addition to these areas of practice, Chuong also assisted and represented clients in the field of estate planning. A member of the "Trusts & Estates" section of the California State Bar, Chuong always knew he wanted to focus in this area of the law. In law school, he was able to engage in an independent-directed study with a law professor focusing soley on estate planning. This one-on-one tutorial for an entire semester was invaluable to Chuong's foundation as an estate planner. Furthermore, Chuong earned an Emphasis Certificate in Tax Law from the school, which has proven invaluable in analyzing the estate and gift tax consequences of his clients' estate plans. (The Chapman University School of Law's Tax Law Program was proudly ranked 17th nationwide by U.S. News and World Report in 2009-2010).
Additionally, Chuong is a Notary Public certified by the Secretary of State for the State of California and a professional firefighter with the Los Angeles Fire Department. Chuong is also an elected officer of the firefighters' union, serving as Director of a "Local" that is over 3,500 members strong (United Firefighters of Los Angeles City, Local 112, AFL-CIO, CLC). He is also a member and voting delegate for both the California Professional Firefighters (CPF) and International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF).
